Before the Summer Games update, Overwatch had me enjoy the battle stances of each of its heroes as I pondered the menu, adorned in my skin of choice. Though they were all relatively still with some subtle animations induced to add life to them, it got the job done and got me excited to see them in battle.

Each hero was glorious in his/her stance, and though I would spam the highlights and then go back to the menu so I could load up Mercy–Blizzard needs to give me the option to choose which hero appears on the menu–they all looked awesome, until now.

Enjoyed your choice of 22 heroes? Get ready to be limited to three, muddled in the same image until the Olympics are over. But that’s not the worst part of this whole endeavor.

Lucio looks pretty lax, ready to take on whatever the game throws at him. Zarya is stuck in a perpetual muscle flex, which is not too bizarre as I can imagine someone flexing their muscles for show, but it’s still unnatural.

See, this is what a battle stance is. Free her and bring her back to us! Also, thank you random gamer from the internet for taking this snapshot.

Tracer? Tracer is unsettling. She is in terminal salute, blinking at you with empty eyes that are screaming for help. The three of them look like they are waiting for someone to take a photo of them, forever. How long are they expected to stand there? When will their torment end? Blizzard: Free them from this enslavement! Also, I miss my Mercy.
